
Katie Pirie

Katie Pirie holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Life Sciences from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada, graduating in 2022. She is entering her fourth year of the Graduate Entry Medicine program at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Katie has a diverse research background, including checkpoint inhibitor therapy in lung cancer, emergency medicine with a focus on simulation and procedural skills, and pediatric research in rare genetic conditions. Since 2023, she has been an active member of the PRiCAN Scholars Network, contributing to research on cancer policy infrastructure and the early detection of cancer in primary care. She also led the planning and delivery of the PRiCAN Symposiums in 2024 and 2025, bringing together key stakeholders across research, policy, and clinical care.
